Separate from the movie, the way she sings “delivery dee letter, the sooner dee better!” at the end of the song is one of my favorite phrasings in all of music. There’s just something about it.

Apart from the more obvious things going on, this really is a perfect snapshot. All of my childhood looked like this.

Oh man. This was my childhood right here. This movie and The Silent Partner had a strangely autistic approach to nailing the floorplans of a shopping mall here. If you were to try and commit a crime in that mall, they pretty much show you how to pull it off.

A film that is basically a collection of great scenes.

American Psycho is basically one 100 minute Great Scene.

It got better with age. I saw it when it came out and found it tame compared to the book (which it is). But now I think it’s a good thing. You don’t need to see a woman’s inside eaten by a rat to get the point.
